TITLE: Instrument Teacher

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, Music Performance or a related field; 6 months of experience as Cello Instructor, Music Teacher. Employer will also accept internship experience acquired during school.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy; Proficiency in cello performance at an instructional level; Ability to work with students of different age groups; Ability to design and adapt lesson plans for varying skill levels; Experience leading group musical activities.

JOB DUTIES: Provide individual and group cello instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Develop and implement lesson plans covering fundamental music theory, rhythm patterns, pitch development, and musical expression. Lead structured musical activities to enhance students’ technical skills, coordination, and performance ability. Incorporate multi-sensory instructional approaches (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic) to support diverse learners. Assess student progress and provide feedback to support musical development. Prepare students for recitals and school performances. Perform demonstration pieces during instructional sessions and events. Maintain student records and communicate progress as needed.

SALARY: $69,306 per year.
