TITLE: Cost Accountant

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience in manufacturing industry required.

JOB DUTIES: Perform financial activities including accuracy of manufacturing overhead expenses, overhead allocations, inventory, and cost-of-goods-sold. Ensure accuracy and reliability of general ledger/trial balance for the inventory grouping of accounts; Ensure accuracy of product costs; Analyze variances to standard cost; report findings to management team in various report formats; complete financial analysis for various manufacturing investment scenarios, including comparison between different machines, equipment, and processing; Maintain standard cost system to generate accurate product costs/inventory values and variance analysis. Analyze manufacturing cost, examine financial and operational data and provide recommendations; Put in place a system of controls to safeguard assets that reduce the chance of recording incorrect financial information; Develop budgets, and financial forecasts; Review existing and develop new budgeting requirements ; conduct products profitability analysis, and review results with management; Perform account analysis to ensure integrity of financial data as reported in the general ledger and on financial statements; Review financial data to ensure compliance with SAP rules; Work with external auditors during financial statement preparation process.
