TITLE: Music Director

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree of Music or related is required.

JOB DUTIES: Provide musical directorship for the church and its music programs. Recruit, hire, supervise and direct music instructors and volunteer musicians who provide music lessons. Supervise the work of music team members, including choir, worship team, orchestra, and band. Oversee the planning and execution of music programs in collaboration with the pastor and other leaders, including developing music programs, calendar of events, scholarship budget and music camps. Collaborate with the pastor and worship committee for selecting musicians who will perform at special events. Promote spiritual growth through music by incorporating traditional and contemporary liturgical musical works in education and performance repertoire. Lead the music scholarship program, assess the applications, select recipients along with the music committee. Lead and participate in performance by music program instructors by performing or conducting. Perform and participate in worship services and other events as requested. Update and maintain musical instruments needed for worship and music instructions. Attend church staff meetings, committee meetings, worship planning meetings and other necessary meetings as requested.

SALARY: $44,595 per year.
