TITLE: Restaurant Project Manager
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent and 36 months of experience in hospitality, restaurant, business or retail openings and management is required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Will accept any suitable combination of education, skills, training or experience.
JOB DUTIES: Plan, execute, and close projects like new openings or renovations, which involves coordinating teams, managing budgets, timelines, and vendors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities are overseeing project scope, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving issues to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Project management duties include: Plan and execute: Initiate, plan, and execute projects from conception to completion, including new restaurant openings, renovations, or menu launches. Budget and timeline management: Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are completed on time. Scope management: Define project scope and ensure the project stays within that scope. Vendor and contractor management: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors, and negotiate with suppliers for materials and services. Risk and issue resolution: Identify risks, resolve construction or budget issues, and find creative solutions to unexpected challenges. Operations and compliance duties: Health and safety: Ensure all projects and operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Staffing: Coordinate with staff, oversee training, create schedules, and manage performance. Inventory: Manage and monitor inventory and place orders as needed. Quality control: Monitor the quality of workmanship during projects and ensure delivered materials are correct. Approvals and reporting: Verify and approve invoices for completed work and report on construction costs. Permits and legal: Obtain necessary permits and ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
SALARY: $84,656 per year.
TRAVEL DETAILS: 5% of the time travel is required within a 50 km radius.
